To turn on this function you just have to open a chat in WhatsApp , touch the contact’s name, click on the “Temporary messages” option and click continue. Then they will select 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days, which will be the length of time the messages last.

Then they have to select in which chats they want to activate the function, press the sign that contains a green check mark and then press Ok, and the temporary messages will be activated.
